All spelling words for January will be based on our contexts of winter and our 5 senses. Students will also practise writing the days of the week. 
Grade 2 students will also practise conjugating verbs in the 1st group (ending in – er) present tense. 
Nouns are either feminine (nf) or masculine (nm.) Students should know this, and know which articles to use: le                la          un         une       les        des

* Adjectives often change depending on whether the corresponding noun is feminine or masculine. This is why there are two versions of the same adjective in many cases.
